Edgar Samodal (COC) VS Jun Dela Peña (SDA) Debate Review

The
debate took place in Maranding, Lala, Lanao del Norte (Maranding the Barangay
City of Mindanao) in September 24, 2018.
The topic of the debate is: “Akong pamatud-an nga si Cristo nag-ingon
nga tukuron ko ang akong iglesia sumala sa mabasa sa mga bersikolo sa Biblia”
(Resolved that Christ said that “I will build my Church” according to the
verses found in the Bible).
The
uses verses that would support to his claim; he stressed out that this verses
prove his stand in the said debate. In
this stand Bro. Edgar Samodal did not yet used the Mathew 16:18.
The negative side Bro. Jun Dela Peña negates
the theme by addressing the term “verses” which according to him it should be
more than One verses. It would be noted
that Bro. Jun Dela Peña said that he might lose this debate and he stressed
that he will not agree to the debate or not face it if the Affirmative side
completed the verse of Mathew 16:18.
In
the two interpolations of both sides I had been noticed that Mr. Jun Dela Peña
did not answer directly the question of the Affirmative Side and beg the
question that the question about “house” is not found in the topic; yet even if
the term house is not found in the topic on hand, but it had been used by the
affirmative to support his claim. On the
other hand if the “Affirmative Side” will answer the questions and will move a
challenge, the Negative side is not agree with it.
The
two debaters had been opponents to the Catholic Faith Defenders; hence I am not
in favor of the two debaters. My
judgment is based on my inference and knowledge in the formal and educational
debate.
In this
debate I will give the Affirmative Side with the grade of 8 out of 10, and the
Negative Side with the grade of 4 out of 10.
Truly the victor of this debate is the affirmative side bro. Edgar
Samodal!
