 The teacher uses diversified teaching approached in handling the class.  The teacher uses the following:

My Analysis
1. Use the Technology Integration Matrix to analyze the class you observed.  In what level of technology integration do you think the teacher operated? Why?
Using the Technology Integration Matrix; in my opinion the level of technology integration of the class that I had observed is in level 5 or in the “Transformation” stage.  In transformation stage, the teacher creates a rich learning environment in which students regularly engage in activities that would have been impossible to achieve without technology.  As I had observed, the teacher used YOUTUBE in showing the class about the lesson of supply and demand.  The teacher also used slide presentation and provides hand-outs for his students.  In my opinion, if the teacher uses only the traditional way, then the class objectives may have not been able to cope with.


2. Based on the Technology Integration Matrix, what is the characteristic of the learning environment in the class that you observed? Point your observations that justify your answer.
Based on the Technology Integration Matrix, the characteristic of the learning environment in the class that I had been observed was “Goal Directed.”  In “Goal Directed” the students use technology tools (hand-outs, slide presentation) to set goals, plan, activity, and monitor progress and evaluate results rather simply completing assessments without reflections.  As I had been observed, after individual activity, the teacher provided immediate feedbacks which in turns the students will give their defense and opinion how they arrive their answers.  The teacher is open to the original ideas of the students even if it is not based on the class discussion.  The teacher encourages his students to think outside the box and to go on the realm of creativity and imagination.


3. Over-all, were the learning resources used effectively? Why? Why not? Give your suggestions.
The over-all learning resources are excellent!  The teacher is master in integrating technology to his class in economics.  He utilized the information found in YOUTUBE and plays it in during the actual class.  The teacher managed to use all resources very effectively in a sense that; the students were able to like, listen and love the discussion as shown in the majority of the class who got perfect and there were no students who got a failed score during the assessment.  The teacher also provides economical prayer in the beginning of the class by way of dancing and singing in the video presentation.




My Reflections/Insights
Put yourself in the place of the teacher.  What would you do similarly and what would you do differently if you would teach the same lesson to the same group of students? Why?

If I am the teacher; I will copy his zeal and mastery in manipulating laptop and computer projector in the class for the smoothness of his lesson.  I appreciate and like his method in giving the students hand-out during class discussion.  His method is fast, sweep, accurate and modern; it facilitates students learning in an optimum level.  The way he handles his class is anchored with the philosophy that the students are the center of the curriculum so do I. 
One thing I would used different in doing the same class is that; I will already downloaded the video on YouTube, because during his (the teacher’s) presentation; the video in YouTube got logged and pause for awhile.  There is a slight break on the momentum of his discussion because of slow internet connection in our country.
But, overall the performance of the teacher is very good and ideal for the education student like me.
